Resident innkeepers, Bob and Juanita Topper are natives of the Northeast, and coastal New England has long been their favorite part of the country. They like to travel and are especially familiar with Europe and Scandinavia.
Juanita was born in Badgastein, a scenic village in the Austrian Alps; in the
past famous for its mineral baths and today known for alpine skiing. While she
grew up in the US, she has a charming European way, very friendly and outgoing.
She values her heritage and keeps in close contact with her Austrian relatives.
Juanita is an avid gardener, and is known for her flair in landscape and interior
design. What is more, she enjoys preparing creative dishes.
Bob is a native of Connecticut whose family was and still is involved in the Cigar business. With a master's degree in applied physics, he is a technically oriented businessman with over thirty years of experience. Most recently Bob was VP of Engineering and Product Development for a division of Carrier Corporation. Between 1990 to 1993 Bob ran a successful consulting business. From 1982 to 1989 he was President and GM of Getinge International, a division of Stockholm based AB Electrolux. He is known for his creative ability in business management and product design and a personal style that promotes teamwork and encourages out-of-the-box thinking. His hobbies include skiing, sailing and an award winning antique boat.
